I was posting this as a record of the photo and location.

Photographs

Various shots of the Kaminoko Ike.

The oshiorokoma was swimming elsewhere too.

It doesn’t really matter, but there was a spider web shaped like a tree next to it.

The area away from the Blue Pond was lovely too. It was quiet and peaceful, perhaps because there were no people around.

A Gift from the Gods: “Kaminoko Ike Pond”

This pond is filled with clear blue water that is said to have been created from the underground water of Lake Mashu.
It is also known as the “Child of God” pond because legend has it that it was created from the underground water of Lake Mashu (Kamuito = Lake of the Gods).

What makes Lake Mashu different from other lakes is that there are no rivers flowing into or out of the lake.Even
so, in the spring, when a lot of meltwater flows into Lake Mashu, the water level remains constant because underground water springs up around the lake.

Kaminoko Pond has an underground water flow of 12,000 tons per day. It is a small pond with a circumference of 220m and a depth of 5m, and the water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom.

The water temperature remains low at 8°C throughout the year, and fallen trees remain submerged in the blue water like fossils without rotting.
The sight of vermilion-spotted Dolly Varden trout swimming through the gaps between them is an indescribably beautiful sight.

I want to travel all over Japan! With this in mind, I am always looking for places to visit when I have long vacations.
I would like to leave some of the videos and photos I have taken as a record of my travels.
In addition to travel, I also enjoy astrophotography and scuba videos.
