On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, when the new moon is near and the sky is clear, I have made it a habit to go to Karst to take pictures. But every time I go and return home, it is late at night and I am exhausted. The fact that I ride a 125cc motorcycle instead of a car for the sake of frugality is also a factor in my exhaustion. Before leaving, I checked the clouds in Shikoku Karst on windy before departure.
Picture
There is a wind power plant in Shikoku Karst, and I love to shoot with it in the background, so the angle of view is usually the same every time. On this day, the wind power station was moving a little, which is kind of halfway, but I think I was able to get a beautiful shot.
You can’t see Orion yet, but Scorpius was somewhat over. The Milky Way is in great shape.

Location
Shikoku Karst is accessible by car. If you are going by private car, it takes about 2 hours from the Matsuyama Interchange and about 1 hour from the Susaki-Higashi Interchange. In both cases, there are many roads on the way that are only wide enough for one car, so you need to be careful. However, there is little traffic.
To get there by public transportation, take the Yusuhara bound for Yusuhara bus from the Kochi Station bus terminal. Get off at Shinden and take the Tsuno Town bus bound for “Tenguso. I have never taken the bus.
