First time to Miyako Island in September 2018! On that occasion, we secured one day to dive. We traveled about 30 minutes by boat and dived three places: Denter Rock, Cross Hole, and Hana-dai Root! I wanted to go to the Devil King’s Palace the most, but it was the store’s decision on that day, so I had no luck this time…. I would like to visit the Devil King’s Palace someday!
Diving Spots
The dive sites are as follows. As you can see, we dived around Irabu Island rather than Miyako Island. It takes about 30 minutes by pleasure boat to the west from Miyako Island. The surroundings of Irabu Island are steep in many places, and such an environment probably makes the spots like the palace of the devil king.

Picture
I borrowed a camera from a store to take pictures. The camera was an Olympus TG-5, a camera used by divers. However, this was my first time using this camera, so I did not know how to set it up…. I didn’t know that the white balance could be adjusted during the dive, so the overall color turned out to be bluish.

dive log
The following is a dive log recorded with the TUSA IQ1204 dive computer.
The TUSA IQ1204 is quite useful and is still in use. It automatically starts measuring the water pressure when you dive, measures the dive time and depth, and also measures the rate of ascent to prevent decompression sickness caused by sudden ascent, and gives you an alarm if you ascend too fast. It also measures the time it takes to return to the boat at the end of each dive, when you have to wait a few minutes at a shallow depth to regain the pressure in your body. It is the next tool I want after a diving mask in scuba.

Day 1

The area with the Data Linked icon in the picture is where Daikon will automatically enter the data. The rest of the data is manual, so I made sure to keep track of it.
