Diary
Kannoji, Kagawa – Takamatsu, Kagawa [clear]
Woke up at 7:00 am. Breakfast of bread and coffee milk I bought at Poplar yesterday. After talking with Mr. Kawamura and the lady from Osaka yesterday, I left Toyohama at 11:30 am.

With 65 km to go to Takamatsu, I had some extra time, so I decided to go around the Shonai Peninsula. I continued all the way along the coast, and once I entered the Shonai Peninsula, the repetition of climbing and descending was quite painful! Most of all, it was hard on my legs, which had been sore for 3 days… It was before 3 pm when I reached the tip of the peninsula, and I were still far from Marugame, which was hopeless. What was it that we had time for?

My legs were sore and the return trip (the remaining circumference of the peninsula) was quite a climb, and I did not have time to see Takuma National College of Technology, which I wanted to see a bit.
Before reaching Marugame, I passed by a place called Kaigan-ji Temple. I remember picking grapes near here when I was in elementary school.

Marugame, Utazu, and Sakaide are already in plain sight. However, I managed to see Marugame Castle from the road.

There is a toll road from Sakaide to Takamatsu if you are driving, but since I was biking, I took Route 11. Either way, the toll road is a mountain road with a very rough terrain, so it is not easy to ride a bicycle on it. I arrived at my parents’ house in Takamatsu around 19:00. It was very hard, so I went to bed at 21:00.
